We are currently seeking a full-time experienced Insurance Defense Paralegal with expertise in medical chronologies and summaries to enhance our practice.
Job Summary: The Insurance Defense Paralegal specializing in Medical Chronologies and Summaries will be pivotal in managing and organizing medical records, creating detailed medical chronologies, and drafting comprehensive medical summaries and billing composites. This role requires a keen understanding of medical terminology and the ability to translate complex medical information into clear, concise documents that support our defense strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Medical Chronologies: Compile and review medical records to create detailed chronologies that accurately outline the sequence of medical events and treatments. Ensure all pertinent information is captured and organized for easy reference.
- Document Management: Organize and maintain medical records and related documents, ensuring they are accurate, complete, and readily accessible.
- Case Preparation: Assist attorneys with preparing case materials, including medical evidence, for depositions, hearings, and trials. Ensure all medical documentation is properly organized and integrated into the case strategy.
- Expert Coordination: Communicate healthcare providers, and medical experts to gather necessary information and documentation. Facilitate the collection of medical records and expert opinions.
- Scheduling and Deadlines: Manage deadlines for medical document submissions and ensure timely preparation of medical chronologies and summaries.
Qualifications & Details:
- Exceptional Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex medical information clearly.
- In-Depth Medical Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of medical terminology, procedures, and records.
- Organizational Expertise: Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills and a high degree of accuracy.
- Prioritization Skills: Capable of managing multiple tasks and priorities effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Technical Proficiency: Skilled in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat and Case Management Software.
- Professional Integrity: Committed to maintaining high standards of professionalism and ethical conduct.
- Experience Required: Minimum of 3 years of experience in insurance defense or a similar legal field, with a focus on medical chronologies and summaries.
- Compensation: Salary will be determined based on experience.
- Work Environment: This position requires on-site presence. Remote work is not an option.
- Office Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
